Back from Easter break and dealing with a sick household? Don't worry, we've got you covered! It’s very tough to handle sick kids whilst being sick yourself, especially after a holiday break. Just Recently, my family and I returned from our Easter break to find that my daughter and I were sick. On a side note, I learned at my latest doctor's visit that ear infections are often accompanied by a low-grade fever. Back to topic, here are a few things that we do in this household to help us get through sickness:
1.Boost your family's immune systems by ensuring they get enough vitamins and nutrients. Incorporate immune-boosting foods like citrus fruits, garlic, and ginger into their meals. Personally, I take zinc and vitamin C everyday, and make sure to spend time in the sun to get as much vitamin d as possible (with sunscreen, of course).
2.Stay hydrated: Drinking plenty of fluids is key to fighting off sickness. Encourage your children to drink water, and try incorporating warm lemon water into their routine.
