英超曼聯證實，已經與意甲祖雲達斯，就C朗拿度的轉會達成協議，仍然有待就個人條款、簽證和體檢方面達成一致。外電報道，C朗的轉會費是1500萬歐元，另外有總值800萬歐元的浮動條款，合約為期兩年。
祖雲達斯主帥艾歷尼早前透露，C朗拿度不想再為祖雲達斯出賽。36歲的C朗拿度在2003-09年效力曼聯，共上陣292場賽事，入了118球。他跟著先後加盟皇家馬德里及祖雲達斯。

C朗在社交媒體向祖雲達斯球迷告別，說自己離開了偉大的意甲俱樂部，祖雲達斯的球迷一直尊重他，他亦在每一場、每個賽季、每項賽事中努力戰鬥，去感謝這些尊重。回顧過去，球會取得很多偉大成就，雖然並無完全如願，但都一同寫下美妙的篇章。
英國傳媒報道，C朗不太可能在星期日曼聯作客狼隊的聯賽上陣，估計他很可能在9月11日、曼聯對紐卡素的賽事登場。
